Second in the series of Beanstiary, a project of fantasy worlds populated with Ty Beanie Babies™️. In this second piece, I wanted to create a soft and ethereal glow, while still having high contrast lighting. I placed the viewing perspective slightly above the elf’s head and below the deer, as if being spied at the moment of its appearance by an onlooker through the leaves. The original piece was made by rendering a full-value under-drawing in pencil, and then layering on thin washes of acrylics. (Sorry for no cute image of the model with the print; this one was painted from a borrowed reference!)

Small and large size (5”×7” and 10”×14") digital art print. 300gsm art paper, dye inks, and uv protective spray to enhance the longevity of the print.
